Alison DeCuir is extremely excited to join The Glam Room team. After studying Business Administration at Park University, Alison moved to Chapel Hill, North Carolina to attend The Aveda Institute. It was there she discovered her passion for every aspect of the beauty industry! In 2006 Alison moved back to Kansas City and worked behind the chair for 5 years at one of Kansas City's top salons, it was there she was introduced to L'Oreal Professionnel. With her intense passion for hair and education, Alison was offered a postion as Sales and Education Coordinator for the biggest beauty company in the world, L'Oreal Professionnel. For the next 2 years she traveled all over the United States working full time as an Educator, teaching classes at salons and assisting world renowned artists such as Jo Blackwell-Preston, Suzie Bond, Jason Backe, James Morrison and many more. Alison was then promoted to Territory Development Manager where she was able to combine her business backround with her creative side. She managed 5 states; training sales consultants and helping Elite salons build their education and business plans.
Alison is thrilled to return to her first passion...the artisty...creating beautiful hair behind the chair! Education is still her top priority as she will continue on as an Artist educating for L'Oreal Professionnel which will allow her to always be at the forefront of hair trends and the latest in haircolor technology. Alison has received certifications in several advanced cutting and color classes such as Sam Villa - Unplugged, Tina Terry Hunt - Business of Color, Deva Curl Certified, L'Oreal Professionnel - Artist Immersion, L'Oreal Professionnel - Artists Foundation, and currently is completing her certification in Balayage with L'Oreal Professionnel's National Artist Nancy Braun.
