The whole experience is just top notch! You can book hair, skin, makeup, nails, and med-spa beauty treatments, all in a beautiful River Market location that is super easy access to I-35. Just 30 minutes from Olathe, and it is truly a relaxing and fun experience. Some of my favorite parts were the color consultation, the wine 🍷, the steam towel with essential oils, the shine glaze—and the gorgeous blowout. Jacob cut my hair specifically for my natural curls! Cassandra Reeder is simply marvelous. Ive disliked my hair most of my life until I started coming to her years ago. She has transformed it into my dream style, texture and color. Cassie has empowered me with tips for styling and management, so I always leave beaming with confidence. My mother also really struggled with her hair, but Cassie has worked absolute magic for us both, so she’s really our family stylist! A dose of Cassie’s artistic bubbly sunshine does our bodies and hearts good 😊 She could work out of any location and I would follow her there. I worked with Mao to get our bridal party set up for services to get pampered a few days before the wedding and she was extremely professional, helpful, and most of all patient! We booked about a month out and coordinated everything in advanced so we could show up and basically not have to worry about paying on that day. And of course because we’re girls (lol) we had several changes along the way up to the very day, Mao and the Glam Room team was very accommodating and was able to make quick on the spot changes without missing a beat. Now to the service - they booked us staggered so we didn’t have to wait on each other which was perfect as we all were eventually done at the same time in the end for our next event. All the technicians were very sweet and very pleasant with us. I had Angelina and Jordan for waxing and they were the best!!! The sweetest to talk to and I was sad to leave the room when service was done. Mao is amazing at nails! We were chopping it up like we were old acquaintances from back home and it was a genuine homely and welcome feel to the whole team as I observed my other girls in conversation with their own nail techs. I believe Michelle was my hair stylist and she was so sweet and took care of my mane as a last minute change - overall excellent service and great company. Thank you Glam Room for the experience! You all are awesome!!

I usually love the Glam Room and I’ll definitely return, but I didn’t have the best experience during my last cut/color. When I normally come to the salon I see Mimi who I always love to see, my appointment got canceled this week due to circumstances out of her control which is totally fine, life happens! The Glam Room was great about helping me find a quick replacement appointment because I’m in a wedding but it had to be with a different stylist. My appointment was scheduled at 3:45 I was there at 3:45 but wasn’t taken back to a chair until 4:40. I was a little annoyed as anyone might be but also recognized that it was a busy afternoon and I was really lucky to get an appointment in. The appointment was fine, my color was my normal one and the cut was just a trim so it was all pretty status quo. However, when I got to my car I noticed part of my forehead and cheek had dye and there was dye on the front of my mask but it wasn’t just a little bit, it was a noticeable chunk. I’ve been dying my hair this same brown for nearly 4 months now and never had an issue like this in the past. It just felt like the work was a little haphazard and I’ve spent the last 24 hours vigorously attempting to scrub the color off my face before the wedding. I’ll definitely be back to visit Mimi in the future but don’t think I’ll ever stray again.

I went in just to get my warm spots lightened instead the stylist did her own thing lightening the blonde that was already there and causing it to break off. also when my hair was being dried the girl helping her said uh oh which indicates a problem and I asked why she said that and the stylist answered saying oh we bumped hands. I don't recommend Michelle because she just rushes through clients and doesn't give you what you asked for. she messed up what another stylists hard work did to my hair to add beautiful highlights. :/ Michelle clearly had another client over and that is exactly why she rushed foiling my hair carelessly and not focusing on the warm spots instead like I asked and there wasn't a lot of orange spots to begin with.

I used to love going to the glam room for a cut and color but between being scheduled for the wrong services and my appointments not being put in the books correctly I started to retract. The staff has always been friendly but there is a huge disconnect between the quality of service and cost. I paid close to $125 for a cut and color after tip last time I went in but the color came out wrong and washed out whenever I would shampoo. It's been around two weeks now and I feel as though I am back to the drawing board when it comes to color. I'm super disappointed. Update: I got a call today offering a complimentary color to fix the issue. I was very pleased to have a positive experience over the phone with a business that is willing to make things right. I definitely will be back for my brows and lashes in the future.

Christian Boss did my hair and she completely fixed it. Very personable, very funny, could make anyone feel comfortable and always checks with you so you can trust her. I have pretty long hair so I was anxious to let someone work with it after all the horror stories you hear, but she really turned it around. I left with healthier hair that’s grown out well and even after a few months it still looked pretty good. This is now my second time going to her and I really enjoy the quality of the education of all the staff, the impeccable presentation of the establishment and the kindness of everyone who worked with me. I got my keratin done from Jake. He did a wonderful job. Having had the keratin treatment multiple times in the past I was familiar with how it’s done. Jake followed through in the exact manner that it’s meant to be done. He was kind and gentle with my hair. He took his time, one strand at a time and patiently spent 4 hours on my hair without rushing the process. Honestly I would not have even given this place one star had it not been for Jake. SUPER THANKFUL FOR JAKE FOR BEING AT THE PARLOUR. HE DID WONDERS FOR MY HAIR. I have yet to wash the keratin out of my hair, which will tell me if the product used at the parlour was up to the mark or not. The owners of this place are also super nice. I ran into some hitches along the way but they went out of their way to be there for me! Would recommend this place since they care for their customers!!

I was in yesterday to see Jacob. My appointment time was 2:15pm. I am a tad bit concerned about your salon being overcrowded. Every stylist station was full and there is no room for color processing except right in the middle of the walkway thru the salon. The waiting area up front is too compact as well. I understand from Jacob that it was a shift change but the traffic in your salon seemed to be a bit much. I love Jacob. I managed to get an appointment with Kyonna the day of, and I am so lucky I did! I made a last minute decision to change up my hair. I did not have a very specific idea of what I wanted, but she was super understanding and patient. She managed to turn my dishwater grey hair into a honey blonde balayage- it looks amazing, and I am so so happy with it. She went above and beyond, took her time with the details, and made sure I was comfortable and relaxed the whole time.

I had probably the best experience I've had in a salon in my 29 years of life, and I was getting fully waxed up close and personal. The head on my head wasn't even touched! The fact that Beth literally made me feel like we were just two people having a conversation is just truly amazing. I’m a small business owner, so this feedback is based on mine and my partner’s experience and is not meant to be harsh or rude, only helpful. I think it’s a little misleading to have prices listed during the online booking process, (which is fantastic btw) and then during the stylist consult, a “glaze” is added on to practically every single service. I’ve had the pleasure of working with several stylists and without fail, a $24+ glaze is always deemed, “absolutely crucial” during my consult. I’m wondering if this is a directive from management? It’s confusing and none of the stylist present it as an optional add on. If it were presented as a luxury add on that will promote healthy hair after the damage that coloring brings, it would be a no brainer for me. But as is, it feels misleading and I’m always a little grouchy about it after my appointment. My appointment tonight was nearly perfect, my stylist was exceptional and very informative and I wasn’t expected to sit and wait while she tended to several other clients. In the past, I’ve sat in the processing stage of my color for 1+ hours, while my stylist cut other customers hair or started their color treatments. This should be standard practice, with few exceptions to the rule. As a customer, explaining the benefits of each product as its being used on my hair is super nice and really opens the dialogue for me to make additional purchases. The atmosphere is nice, it feels luxurious, my only qualm would be that I wish the lighting in the shampoo room was consistent. I LOVE the scalp massage, it’s always the highlight of my experience but sometimes the overhead lighting is at 100% and others it’s at 15%, almost always it fluctuates between the two ends of the spectrum while I’m having my hair washed/conditioned. I can tell that loads of thought and money have gone into the customer experience, especially in the shampoo room, this could be a real value for your customers with just a few small adjustments. :) Thanks for providing excellent and very well trained stylists in a comfortable environment with an amazing schedule of availability! I definitely appreciate it.

I usually never write reviews but I loved my experience at the Glam Room I just had to. I had actually came here because I was so unhappy with the previous balayage I had. I had gotten my hair done various times all of them resulting in really poor work. When explaining this to Rebecca during my appointment yesterday, she completely understood how apprehensive I was, reasurred me and that really made a difference. I can't explain how happy I am with my hair now. I love how it turned out and wish I came here earlier! Totally recommend the Glam Room and ask for Rebecca.
